The Facts
White Plate is a tacky, white colored, multi-purpose, extreme pressure, anti-wear grease that is specially formulated for use in all types of heavy-duty equipment.
White Plate is composed from the finest select high viscosity 100% paraffin base oils available. Blended into these 100% paraffin base oils is a 12-hydroxystearate base thickener and selected additives. This formulation provides White Plate with the following performance features:
- Very good water resistance and water washout properties.
- Excellent anti-wear and extreme pressure load carrying properties.
- Very good rust and oxidation inhibiting characteristics.
- Very good resistance to oxidation.
- Very good shear and mechanical stability.
Incorporated into this blend of 100% paraffin base stocks, 12-hydroxystearate base thickener and selected additives is a combination of synthesized white colored organic molybdenum compound and teflon. The combination of these two solid lubricants gives White Plate the ability to act as a “backstop” lubricant when the grease base is either destroyed or wiped away due to unexpected loads, start-up or other conditions that exceed the capabilities of the grease’s base fluid film lubrication. This “backstop” is created by the natural affinity for metal surfaces of the organic white molybdenum and teflon compounds. These solid lubricants plate to the metal surfaces of the bearings to form a long lasting solid lubricant film. This solid lubricant film will withstand pressures up to 500,000 pounds per square inch, giving the metal surfaces of the bearing the protection needed during periods of high speed, high shock loads and extreme pressure.
White Plate also has excellent adhesive and cohesive properties. Due to these adhesive and cohesive properties White Plate will not wash out, pound out, splatter or squeeze out, even under the heaviest loads and vibrations.
