#275SW DI-LEX Supreme ISO 15

DI-LEX™ Supreme #275SW is a premium synthetic blend multi-grade anti-wear hydraulic fluid that is designed for year round use in the high pressure hydraulic systems of mobile equipment that require a hydraulic fluid with the viscometric properties of a MIL-H-5606 type hydraulic fluid that operate over a wide range of ambient temperatures and in applications that require the use of a high dielectric strength oil.

Includes VarniShield

Typical applications in which the #275SW Supreme DI-LEX would be used include:

  • Outdoor utility vehicles operating at very low to high ambient temperatures
  • Cherry pickers and other equipment used to install and service electrical utility lines
  • Surface mining and construction equipment operations at very low to high ambient temperatures
  • Off-road forestry equipment

DI-LEX #275SW Supreme has a dielectric strength of 45 kilovolts which exceeds the OSHA minimum requirement 30 kilovolts for use in the hydraulic systems of mobile equipment used for repair and service of electrical lines.

It is blended from the finest quality polyalphaolefin (PAO), synthetic base fluids and petroleum base fluids available. This unique combination provides the #275SW Supreme DI-LEX with the following advantages:

  • Excellent Low Temperature Properties
  • Excellent Oxidation and Thermal Stability.
  • Excellent Resistance to Thermal Degradation
  • Compatibility With All Types of Seals and Coatings

Blended into this unique combination of (PAO) and petroleum base is a highly specialized performance additive package and an extremely shear stable type viscosity index improver.

The highly specialized performance additive package provides the #275SW Supreme DI-LEX with the following performance benefits:

  • Exceptional anti-wear protection
  • Extended pump life
  • Extended bearing life
  • Enhanced thermal and oxidative stability
  • Superior hydrolytic stability
  • Excellent demulsibility characteristics
  • Excellent rust and corrosion protection
  • Excellent anti-foaming and air release properties
  • Reduced sludge, varnish and deposit formation
  • Improved durability of non-ferrous parts
  • Enhanced filterability
  • Enhanced compatibility with existing fluids
  • Enhanced fluid life
  • Enhanced seal life
  • Reduced system maintenance

The extremely shear stable polymer viscosity index improver provides the #275SW Supreme DI-LEX with a viscosity index of 292. This extremely high viscosity index allows the #275SW Supreme DI-LEX to exhibit low temperature viscometrics that permit pumps to be safely started at low ambient temperatures where the flow properties of a conventional straight grade hydraulic fluids might cause problems. Conversely, when the hydraulic equipment reaches operating temperature or is exposed to high ambient temperatures, the high viscosity index of #275SW Supreme DI-LEX allows the product to exhibit the proper viscosity needed in order to minimize internal pump leakage and wear.

The trend in hydraulics

The trend among hydraulic pump builders is to make their units more compact by employing higher system pressures and higher pump speeds. This often results in conditions of thin film lubrication that can result in excessive pump wear.

To prevent this wear, a hydraulic fluid must contain and effective anti-wear additive package. Though #275SW Supreme DI-LEX contains an exceptional anti-wear additive package that lasts longer than most conventional anti-wear additive packages found in conventional hydraulic oils, this exceptional anti-wear package will also disappear over a period of time.

To fortify these anti-wear capabilities of #275SW Supreme DI-LEX, Micron Moly® is further blended into the product. Micron Moly® is a liquid soluble type moly that plates itself to the sliding and rubbing surfaces of the hydraulic system. This plating action forms a long lasting solid lubricant film that is able to withstand pressures up to 500,000 pounds per square inch.

Once plated to the sliding and rubbing surfaces, Micron Moly® not only produces a smooth finished surface, but also reduces friction between moving parts. This results in less heat being generated, which in turn reduces operating temperatures and downtime.

#275SW Supreme DI-LEX meets and exceeds the following specifications and manufacturers requirements: Hagglands Densison HF-O, Vickers M-2950-S and I-286-S, Mannesman Rexroth, Commercial Shearing HD 2/900, DIN 51524 Part 2, MIL-H-5606A, Altec, Pittman and MTI.
