The Facts

Citrol II® (#739) is a highly concentrated, all natural, biodegradable, environmentally safe, non-water soluble organic citrus based solvent cleaner and degreaser that is designed for cleaning and degreasing machinery, equipment, engines and electric motors without the use of hazardous environmentally unacceptable aliphatic, aromatic, chlorinated, fluorocarbon, alkaline, acidic or petroleum base cleaners and degreasers.

Citrol II® is specially formulated from a combination of organic citrus-based solvents. This combination provides the Citrol II® with the ability to rapidly penetrate and remove a wide range of soils, grease, oil and grime from metallic and non-metallic surfaces, including most plastics. This formulation also allows the Citrol II® to possess a dielectric strength of 32,000 volts (32 kv).

Citrol II® does not contain any petroleum hydrocarbon solvents, such as mineral spirits or chlorinated solvents such as 1,1,1 trichloroethane. Because of the absence of these solvents and its biodegradability,
Citrol II® falls outside current EPA Hazardous Waste Regulations.
Further, Citrol II® is waste treatable by standard publicly owned waste treatment plants and is not considered to be a priority pollutant.

Citrol II® will rapidly penetrate and lift various petroleum, animal and vegetable based oils, fats and greases so they can be easily removed by water rinsing. The oil contaminants in the used Citrol II® solution left in still tanks, parts washers or holding tanks after cleaning will rise to the surface and separate from the Citrol II®. This oil can then be removed by top skimming. The remaining bottom layer can then be reused or disposed of in accordance with all applicable Local, State and Federal Rules and Regulations if no longer needed.

Typical Uses:

Industrial Citrus Cleaner: To clean floors, walls, production machinery, mobile equipment.

In the Shop: To degrease engines, transmissions, motors, housings, parts, floors, walls, and to remove road tar and grime from trucks, dozers and tractors.

Waste Treatment Plants: To degrease, clean and deodorize lift stations, wet wells and walls, catwalks, bar screens, sump pumps, scum pits and troughs, transfer pipes and equipment.

Food Plants: To degrease floors, walls and production machinery in areas where there is no possibility of contact with food, foodstuffs and packaging.

Mining Operations: To degrease and remove open gear lubes, dirt and grime from dipper sticks, house rails and rollers, underground equipment and mobile equipment.
