Saunders Brothers is a 275 acre wholesale nursery and orchard in Piney River, Virginia. They grow and ship tractor trailer loads of potted plants to nurseries up and down the mid-Atlantic area. Frank maintains about 45 John Deere tractors and other assorted field equipment. Eight to ten of these tractors run 1800-2100 rpms 10 hrs a day from March thru December. John Deere's recommended oil change (with John Deere oil) is 200 hours. Frank, after switching to Schaeffer #700 Supreme 7000 15W-40 Oil (using an outside used oil testing facility) has increased the oil change intervals to 550-1,000 hrs. Frank commented "The analysis came back with the oil still good and we just kept on going up. We are changing the tractors once a year saving 1-2 oil changes." This extended oil change interval has saved Saunders Brothers about $12,000 a year.
Frank also has John Deere sprayers. He was replacing the pillow bearings in those sprayers every year at a cost of $600.00/ bearing. Since switching to Schaeffer #238 grease 10 years ago. he has replace two bearings.

R S G Landscaping has a 2001 Ford F-250, 7.3 liter DT44E International, with 249,063 miles on it. They have been using Schaeffer Oil since 2001, changing the oil at 15,000 miles. In July, 2009, the truck had a bad injector nozzle. Kenny replaced the nozzle and drove it about 200 miles, when the tip broke off that nozzle and went into the engine. The tip, being hardened steel, beat the top of the piston, cracked the cylinder head and cracked the turbo. After pulling down the engine, Kenny noticed everything "looked brand new, there was no wear". He even reused the same bearings!!

Virginia Department of Corrections requires Correctional Centers to have a roving patrol vehicle. This roving patrol vehicle must circle the outer fence perimeter to ward against escapes. This vehicle travels 15 mph, 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Augusta Correctional Center purchased two Chevrolet Colorados. They used Schaeffer's Supreme 7000 15W-40 oil, Supreme Gear Lube 80W-90 and All-Trans Supreme transmission fluid. The engine oil was changed at 7000 miles. Augusta just sold both vehicles with over 300,000 miles on them. Eddie stated, "We had no engine, drive train or transmission problems the whole time we had them." Eddie contributes the lack of problems to Schaeffer Lubricants.
