Twin Tec Inc., located in Auburn, WA, manufactures quick connect and disconnect multi-tube manifolds for pneumatic and air hose applications.

Twin's Steve and Chris Burrows share, "We've been using Schaeffer Oil Synkool 311 and MaxKool 414 for about 20 years and have enjoyed excellent results. We've yet to find a metalworking fluid that combines long sump life, very low odor and, most importantly for us excellent performance with small roll form tapping. We can tap thousands of holes daily in aluminum and stainless steel, with tool lifetimes that make us very happy."

Corliss Resources is a ready mix company located in the Puget Sound area since 1945. They have approximately 200 pieces of equipment. In February 1996, Bob McSorley, shop foreman, first used Schaeffer's #221 grease with great success. He decided to try Schaeffer's #209 Gear Lube in July 1997. Since then Bob has seen an increase in the life of their ZF gear boxes. These are double reduction gear boxes that turn the drums on the concrete trucks. Bob also noted that the major brand of gear oil would oxidize and thicken. Drain intervals were every six months. Now they are once a year with much better results. Corliss uses Schaeffer's gear lube in all their ZF gear boxes, differentials in their trucks and all gear boxes in their plants.

Ness Crane Service has been serving the Seattle area since 1950. They operate more than 35 Grove cranes, from 120 to 300 ton capacity. They recently purchased a new 550 ton Grove crane at a cost of almost $5,000,000, one of only two or three in the world. Ness also builds trailers and drop axles.
Shop foreman, Mark Kaestner, decided to try Schaeffer's specialized lubricants on their equipment. With oil analysis, they have more than doubled their oil drains and experience less maintenance and down time. Now with over 35 cranes, maintenance is performed at Ness with only five mechanics. The result is Ness saves time and money by using superior lubricants.

Gearbox wear was a problem for Magnum Crane before using Schaeffer's gear lube. The company had to rebuild two hoist gearboxes on their smaller cranes, and they always noticed visible wear metals in their lubricants.

That's all changed since switching to Schaeffer's gear lube as they see less wear metals in the fluids. They've also reported a20° drop in the planetary wheels' operating temperatures, which helps prolong equipment life.

According to the Magnum Crane, "With Schaeffer, you use far less product with far less mess and waste."
