The Magnuson-Moss Act states that a warranty claim cannot be denied because a consumer used a non-branded lubricant or part unless the provider can demonstrate that the non-OEM part or lubricant caused the issue or failure.
If you decide to use Schaeffer in your equipment or vehicle, the warranty provider can't limit coverage unless they provide parts or lubricants free of charge as part of the original OEM warranty.
